Aaron Schepers's Background
Aaron Schepers's Experience
Research Assistant at University of Nebraska-Lincoln
June 2000 - May 2002
As a research assistant my focus was implementing the Nebraska Airborne Remote Sensing Program. My function was to coordinate with aircraft engineers and the FAA to install dual camera ports in a Piper Saratoga. I designed and built camera mounts and integrated multiple remote sensing sensors for data acquisition. The aircraft is now primarily used as an airborne hyperspectral imaging platform.
Field Crew at University of Nebraska (USDA-ARS)
June 1995 - May 2000
I was on the field crew to perform research on nitrogen use in corn. The research was very integrated with crop metrics, the latest near-crop remote sensing, and aerial photography. My duties included field data collection, data integration into a GIS, and multivariate analysis. The experience provided me with an in-depth understanding of chlorophyll meters, leaf area index, soil conductivity, remote sensing indicies, and sensor integration for monitoring crop health.
President at Cornerstone Mapping, Inc.
2002
As president of Cornerstone Mapping, my role is to provide professional remote sensing and photogrammetric services. My focus is to integrate leading-edge technology, develop new markets, and maintain client relationships.
